I have got stronger, compared to last year. Mentally, I am much much better. Last year, I lost many matches where I gave up or got mad for few minutes where I did not realise that I have already lost 4-5 games.

This year, it has got better. I am controlling my emotions, not letting it affect my games

I am now used to it. In the beginning it was tough but gradually I made some friends who cared for me and didn't let me feel alone. But no food can replace what you get to eat at home, so yes, it has been difficult.

Whenever I am under pressure, I think of my target and those people who have a positive impact on my life. Pressure is an important ingredient of any game, you just need to learn to play with it.

It was a great feeling. I mean you don’t get opportunities much like these where you get to sit with all the winners and important people. It’s just unforgettable. No, actually did not get any advice, we all were in a rush and it was pretty late.

Mahesh’s role has played a lot in my life, either it’s on or off court. He has helped in every way. If it was not for him, then I don’t think my dad could have been able to afford tennis.

This win feels amazing. I rate it higher than my Junior Wimbledon Doubles title. It was a tough week for me. Coming into the tournament, I did not expect to reach the quarters. But all of the areas in my game need work, and I am not going to stop working.

I always had it in my mind but never really did it as I did not feel it from my heart.

I was very lucky enough to have Mahesh behind me and helping me since I was 11. So I really appreciate that

Even two years ago, I didn't have any idea what the Commonwealth Games were

I gave it my best and realised that I can compete against the big guns. They are all quite seniors while I am still junior

I played for local clubs as a striker and I thought maybe one day I would play for India

I never expected to be in the finals of this event in the first place, and that in itself is a big reason for me to smile and stay positive.

The 400 m finals gave me the best memories for a lifetime too. The crowd here offered tremendous support and that was incredible
